Client: Young professional family who moved from the city to a small village
Project: Kitchen and Wildlife Garden Design
Style: Natural, Earthy, Ecological
This country garden was designed for a young family moving from the city, keen to fully embrace outdoor living and start growing their own food with a goal to be 6 months self-sufficient.
A beautiful Gabriel Ash greenhouse forms the centrepiece and focal point from the house, with production enhanced with sturdy oak raised- beds and in-ground beds, nestled into the upper terrace with pollinator friendly planting and wildflower meadow.
The existing pond at a lower level was enhanced with natural stone boulders leading down to a new sundowner deck, wrapped in perennial planting, and expanding out to native wildflower meadow with mown paths.
Within the first year this became a productive, thriving, wildlife-friendly space that blends family life with the beauty of village life.
