Client: Family living in a sensitively designed timber frame and brick building near Lewes
Project: Arrival garden, driveway and rear gardens for this well sized rural property.
Style: Modern, with natural materials with structural planting, blending to a softer style.

This garden is for a recently developed house, extended and developed to fit the lifestyle of this family. The driveway needed realigning, and the arrival designed for ease, while also framing and enhancing the facade of the building. The rear garden has a good sized living space for sitting and dining, surrounded by much planting, in a modern clipped form with a simple palette. A potager, guest garden, shade garden, relaxed lawn, formal lawn are also incorporated in the near garden. The far garden includes walks though the meadow planting and trees, around the pond, up to a garden retreat and back down onto the jetty for sundowner drinks.
